I’ve always been drawn to the artistic hustle and bustle of New York,” admits Ilhan Ersahin. In New York, he created a club and a label of the same name, Nublu, another idea of the blue note where he mixes generations, styles and groups. But it is in Istanbul, the city of his paternal origins, that he founded this group, with a solid oriental jazz trio as a base and prestigious soloists as guests, Erik Truffaz and here Vincent Ségal. The music is astonishing, without any real label, and becomes on stage a physical experience, a trip where the sound, the vibrations and the tempo produce a form of trance, at the heart of the aesthetics of tomorrow’s jazz.
