Wora the contemporary spirit is a little Anthropology treatise on the wisdom of the American Indians through the eyes of the group Yaki Kandru. The Colombian musician and anthropologist Jorge Lopez P., political exile in France for 20 years, headed the group since its inception in the 70s. Voices, postures, unknown instruments, strange sounds, Jorge Lopez brings together in his work, a Native American way of thinking about the world beyond the borders of folklore and ethnic concepts. It is a testimony of living cultures, a tribute to the indigenous peoples of the Americas, to their creativity, their philosophies, their struggles.
