The village of Samois sur Seine hosts the most famous manouche jazz festival in the world. It is here, in this picturesque village 50 km from Paris that Django Reinhardt spent the last years of his life. In June, thousands of musician-travelers find eachother, famous, anonymous, Gypsy, Sinti, Roma and Gadje. They come in pilgrimage from all over Europe, America and Asia. They are the Django people. In the guitar notes, we hear a song: “All of life is in every second of life”.
