Launched in the early 1980s, zouk is a genre created and popularized by Kassav. Several million albums sold worldwide since the group’s creation in 1979, having filled the most Zeniths in Paris: more than 40 concerts at the Zenith and Bercy. The first French group to have filled the Stade de France! Between 2009 and 2015 more than 400 concerts, about 2 000 000 people have come to see Kassav on stage in recent years.
