March 2016, Howe Gelb charismatic founder of Giant Sand, announces the band’s last tour after a thirty-year career and about twenty albums. This farewell tour ends in Paris during a memorable concert at the Trabendo. Howe Gelb is accompanied by a number musicians who have shared with him these thirty years.

This concert is an opportunity to go back with Howe Gelb to the story of Giant Sand he created with Rainer Pactet in 1984. When he died in the early 90s, Howe Gelb had to reconstruct himself. The story of Giant Sand is closely linked to this disappearance and to the history of independent rock.
