Before taking to the turntables under the alias Blawan, Jaime Roberts titillated the decibels as a drummer in post-punk bands in his home town of Barnsley, UK. Over a decade later, the artist has become a maestro of vinyl exploration and computer extravagance.

Blawan’s astonishing CV demonstrates a pioneering, iconoclastic nature. Thanks to his productions and events organization, as well as the creation of the Ternesc label in 2015, the artist is indeed shaking up the techno world. Faced with a milieu that he sometimes finds too codified and compartmentalized, the DJ and producer is determined to break free and breathe fresh air into the genre. In fact, it was this appetite for freedom that prompted him to leave England and move to Berlin, the city of electronic possibilities.
