At the 2024 Jazz à Vienne festival, Shakura S’Aida, one of the most powerful voices in contemporary blues, delivered a captivating performance. Accompanied by Tristan Clark on lead guitar, Maurice Gordon on guitar, Roger Williams on bass, and Aubrey Dayle on drums, she presented a repertoire blending blues, soul, funk, and gospel. Highlights included “Getting Along Alright” and a heartfelt rendition of Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold.” Her stage presence and infectious energy enthralled the audience at the Théâtre Antique de Vienne.
