“Stéphane Galland created “Lobi” a real multicultural project, in July 2011. The drummer from Brussels has surrounded himself with “Magic” Malik Mezzadri, Tigran Hamasyan, Carles Benavent, Peter Ralchev and Misirli Ahmet. Later in the adventure it’s Malcolm Braff who took over the baton of pianist Tigran. Each one coming with his own bagage to be put at the service of the community of the free spirit and wandering soul. Thus “Lobi”, which means in Lingala (language of Congo) both yesterday and tomorrow, finds it’s consistency, often joyful, even playful, but where a trance finishes by interfering. A project that feeds on elements from many cultural traditions with musicians outside the norm, it is inevitably a project for the Cosmojazz Festival. “
