Karin Meier returns to continue her many years of great collaboration with the Zurich Jazz Orchestra. In addition to Karin’s own compositions, the program will also include new interpretations of jazz standards and pop classics, all arranged for the ZJO by Ed Partyka. The orchestra will perform with an expanded line-up, including French horn, tuba and a whole range of woodwind instruments to give the music additional textures and timbres.

The orchestra will also play instrumental music by Ed Partyka, including the continuation and further development of the composition written for the orchestra’s 30th anniversary. The first movement of the work, There Will Be Another You, was premiered on October 2, and the piece will continue to evolve and grow until May 2026.
