Djamchid, father and master, Keyvan and Bijan Chemirani, the two sons, form since the late 1990s the Trio Chemirani, a Persian percussion ensemble. While drawing on Persian poetry, they compose and develop modern forms where the focus is on polyrhythms and the multiplicity of sounds. The Trio reveals to their audience the infinite possibilities of the Persian percussions. The new project highlights the spirit of openness that characterizes the trio inviting artists with whom they shared the stage over the years:
The master of the Mandingo kora Ballaké Sissoko, famous for his finesse and open and modern approach to the instrument and his taste for cross-cultural creation…
The pianist and composer Omar Sosa, creator who finds inspiration in traditional Cuban music (Santeria, Yoruba …), jazz, hip hop or even Arab or African music.
