Omri Mor is proving to be a very talented pianist with an interesting and crystalline style that combines Keith Jarrett-style trills, the sleepy chords of Erik Satie and the swing of Bill Evans, writes The Free Jazz Collective about the pianist, composer and arranger. His musical influences range from classical and jazz to Arabo-Andalusian music. After touring with bassist Avishai Cohen and releasing his debut album “It’s About Time!” (naïve-believe, 2018) he comes to Moods with the Assala Trio: A hypnotic journey through Arabo-Andalusian sound worlds. He is accompanied by the friendly Karim Ziad on drums and Mehdi Nassouli on gimbri.
