With Suicidal Tendencies, Hellfest invites the heavyweights of crossover and thrash metal. Enough to make the main stages tremble!

Suicidal Tendencies was born in California, more precisely in Venice Beach. The band was formed in 1982 while its singer Mike Muir was still a student. If at the beginning the band is talked about, it is unfortunately not always for its music (rumors of gang membership, controversy around its name…). Fortunately for the clique, all that ends up playing in its favor, its notoriety growing.

In 1983, Suicidal Tendencies release their first self-titled album. It is a huge success and the title “Institutionalized” is aired on MTV. Suicidal Tendencies became one of the first hardcore bands to be broadcast on the American channel. Historic! Over the years, Suicidal Tendencies went from a punk/hardcore style to more metal and thrash influences. They even allowed themselves a passage through progressive metal and funk with The Art Of Rebellion.
