Rhoda Scott – Tribute to Manu Dibango

Director: Luc Riolon
Genre: Live Show

Watch

Rhoda Scott, American jazz woman, has been the international ambassador of the Hammond organ for over forty years. She has played with the greatest: Ray Charles, George Benson, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Morrow…

For the past few years, the priestess of the organ has been setting the stages of the world on fire, surrounded by the rising generation of jazzwomen of France, sharing, always with the same generosity, her immense repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz, from gospel and spirituals to blues and groove.

Rhoda Scott now lives in Le Mans! It is quite natural that Europajazz invited her to propose an exceptional and unique creation in homage to the great saxophonist and singer: Manu Dibango. This empire of jazz has strong links with the Sarthe having resided in his youth in Saint-Calais.

Great musical moment in perspective!
