Josh Homme and his band on stage at the Grand Théâtre! It’s a dream for us, pursued for several years, which is finally coming true. Born on the outskirts of the Californian desert in the mid-1990s, the Queens of the Stone Age project is a monument in rock history. His kaleidoscopic work offers, to those who explore it, a journey as exhilarating as a canyon rafting descent, with its whitewater sections with indomitable rapids and its more contemplative warm spells.
From very “stoner” beginnings, marked in particular by the Rated R albums and the masterpiece Song for the Deaf, to more recent releases, including the masterful …Like Clockwork released in 2013, or even the astonishing last- born Villains released in 2017, the career of Queens of the Stone Age has continued to surprise us in good ways and convince us, if we still needed to, that they are just as worthy descendants of David Bowie and the Kinks than ZZ Top and Fu Manchu.
Musically inspired by a wide range of artists like Nirvana, The Strokes and Tame Impala, Coach Party will start the evening with fervor in a pure and authentic indie style.
