Barcelona’s Marina Herlop hypnotises the audience at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival with the strange beauty of her third album, Pripyat.

Classically trained, Marina Herlop has undergone a fascinating transformation over the years. From the piano that inhabited Nanook (a first album released in 2016), the musician has indeed shed all academicism to dive into the meanders of electronic music. If the effort Babasha began this transformation in 2018 thanks to its hybridity, it is in 2022, through the album Pripyat that the transformation becomes total.

Pripyat, published by the Berlin label PAN, is inspired by the musical tradition of South India to create kaleidoscopic tracks, both gentle and dizzying. A crystalline atmosphere to be discovered live at the Eurosonic festival.
