The leader of the new American jazz scene Makaya McCraven is in Blue Up!

He’s in search of the “absolute beat”. Young Chicago drummer Makaya McCraven is considered the best hope of the new American jazz scene. Author of a very good album in 2018, “Universal Beings”, bringing him media consecration, the jazz mastodon, with his build and his compositions, fascinates thanks to his rich and precise rhythm, tinged with hip hop. His appearances in France are rare, but he has chosen to honour the premiere of Blue Up!
