The last duo of the Variations collection will surprise you. Legowelt, to begin with, has been on the Dutch West Coast scene since the 90s. Inspired by the musical universe of Detroit and Chicago, he also draws his influences from fantasy films and science fiction. The other half of the duo is composed by Etienne Jaumet. French saxophonist and keyboardist, he is known, in particular, through his electro group Zombie Zombie. At the same time, he launched his solo career with the production of remixes for Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family or Yuksek and prolific live collaborations with Frànçois and The Atlas Mountains, the Red Hot Chili Peppers or John Cage. This time, it is the repertoire of the Cameroonian saxophonist, Manu Dibango, that the two musicians tackle, the one who popularized the famous Makossa!
