First Prize, Orchestra Prize, ARTE Prize, French Halls and Orchestras Prize, ECHO Prize… Bar Avni won unanimous acclaim at the 3rd edition of the La Maestra competition.

Israeli conductor Bar Avni, musical director of the Bayer Philharmoniker Leverkusen, is a member of Bayer Kultur’s prestigious stARTacademy. She is a laureate of the International Kurt Masur Institute in 2021 and of the 2nd Prize and Orchestra Prize of the Fitelberg Conducting Competition in 2018.
In 2023-2024, Bar Avni makes her debut at the Israel Music Festival and with the WDR Funkhausorchester and the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker. She has also been invited to assist conductors Barbara Hannigan and François-Xavier Roth. Bar Avni collaborates regularly with a variety of orchestras and ensembles of different styles.
