The two great friends from the “class of ’89” will be performing in Building B!

One is the originator of the “blufunk” sound, which he develops between Lagos, Nigeria, and London. The other is a founding member of the famous Gotan Project, linking Argentina and France. Finally, both of them met in Paris in the spring of 1989.  
To celebrate the memory of this meeting, Keziah Jones and Philippe Cohen-Solal have merged their music on a four-track EP entitled “Class of 89” (2023).the project opens with the single “GiveThanks & Praises” and sets the tempo: a joyful and energetic universe awaits the fans!

A beat sounds, Oxmo sits on his staircase and begins a spoken word between rapping moods and praising the guest artists. In a series of live performances, interviews and unpublished features, he and his guests examine the creative process and highlight the links between rap, poetry, pop and… French chanson!
