«Dandoula Tala», which in Mandinka means «no boundaries», is the title of the second album from JMO. Their music is accordingly free and moves between traditional and modern sounds from Africa, Europe and the Orient. The sparkling, clear sound of the Kora meets up with the sonorous, smoky tones of the bass clarinet and is driven by diverse percussion instruments. The repertoire was drafted by all three musicians and showcases their different influences; their interplay captivates us with its beautiful melodies and rhythmical elegance. The convergence of the three cultures, the selection of instruments and the rich pool of ideas, melodies and rhythms ensure the music is an unforgettable listening experience.
