This film follows the Polish countertenor Jakub Jósef Orliński and three facets of his singing, evoked through three countries. In New York, it’s opera for his debut at the MET, in Warsaw it’s Lied accompanied by piano and finally in Venice, it’s Baroque arias with the ensemble i l Pomo d’Oro. Each of the three cities is also an opportunity to evoke an aspect of his personality: his apprenticeship at the Julliard School, his hometown and its intimacy, and finally his current career as a successful singer. is enhanced by some of the breakdancing he has been doing for a long time, as well as by extracts filmed by Jakub Jósef Orliński himself on his mobile phone and integrated into the film itself, like a dialogue between media and formats designed to create an intimate digital portrait with multiple points of view on himself.
