Jim Barr (bass) and Clive Deamer (drums), both founding members of Portishead, join forces with saxophonist Jake McMurchie and trumpeter Pete Judge. Their common passion for saxophonist Ornette Coleman incited the Get The Blessing project in 2000. Their 4th album Lope & Antilope is the result of four days of improvisations recorded under the eye (or rather the ear) of Tim Allen, guitarist of Bat For Lashes. Acid-Jazz, rock and electronic effects, Get The Blessing exhibits a unique music which on stage takes all its sense.
