Twelve years after his first mixtape, the rapper recognised as one of the most talented emotional storytellers of his generation took to the roads of California to record his fifth album, Années Sauvages, re-released on 10 November 2023. An architecture enthusiast, he chose the Le Corbusier site in Firminy, near Saint-Etienne, designed and built by one of France’s most famous architects from 1954, as the setting for this recording.
