Composer and trumpet player Enrico Rava, an undisputed master of Italian jazz, appears on stage at the Paris Jazz Festival in 2012. Accompanied by young talented musicians, here he puts aside the free jazz aesthetic in order to explore a new source of freedom: the expression of his deepest emotions. Inspired by the creativity of his young partners, together they bring fresh new ideas to a musical genre which, in order to stay alive, must renew its own rules with each generation.
