Dave Holland and his natural groove have been making a name for themselves in the jazz world for almost fifty years. A career that began as a self-taught musician and was accelerated by Miles Davis – who in the late 60’s decided to give the young bassist a chance by having him play as a replacement for Ron Carter. Holland worked with the living legend for several months and participated in the recording of three of his albums: Filles de Kilimanjaro, In a Silent Way and Bitches Brew. The talent of the Briton allows him to launch himself into new projects very quickly.
 
 Equally at ease with free jazz and fusion, the artist moves between styles with ease and elegance. Dave Holland’s ease of playing and composing is the result of an impeccable technique combined with an innate sense of rhythm. This virtuosity had made a big noise during the tour of the Dave Holland Prism Quartet, let’s bet on an identical success for his new formation! Indeed, in Bielska-Biala, Dave Holland adopts the form of a trio. He is surrounded by two famous acolytes: drummer Obed Calvaire and saxophonist Chris Potter (who replaces Kevin Eubanks at short notice).
