Bill Frisell is a monument to the guitar. Not because he plows the neck at full speed to produce ten notes per second, but because he is a virtuoso of nuance and touch, dynamics and colors.
Today more than ever, his playing is characterized by an infinite delicacy. His sound, recognizable among all, rehabilitates the use of metallic strings.

Bill Frisell has recorded with just about all the greats: Elvin Jones, Dave Holland, Paul Motian, Ron Carter… In recent years, he has reinvested in American popular music from the 50s to the 70s. His album All we are saying (2011) was dedicated to John Lennon.
In his latest project, Guitar in the Space Age, he explores the influence of Charlie Christian, Chet Atkins, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys… The contrast between Greg Leisz’s pedal steel and Bill Frisell’s guitar is a treat for the ears: a great moment in perspective, and not only for 6 or 12 strings enthusiasts!
