Born in a Brooklyn warehouse in 1997, Antibalas are one of the most exciting acts in world music. Their references points are enough to make your head spin: formed in part as a nod to Fela’s and Africa ‘70, as well as Eddie Palmieri’s Harlem River Drive Orchestra, they take the palette of Afrobeat and mix in modern funk, the avant-garde, dub and electronic influences.
