Feel like dancing? Perfect! Aluna turns up the volume and gets the Ground Control crowd moving. On the programme: the super catchy sounds of MYCELiUM, her second album.

If the name ‘Aluna’ rings a bell, it’s because Aluna Francis spent almost ten years with the R’n’B duo AlunaGeorge. This experience enabled the Briton to gain solid critical and public recognition, punctuated by prestigious nominations (BRIT Awards, NME Awards, BBC…) and equally classy collaborations (Diplo, Disclosure…).

But after creating two albums with two hands, Aluna wanted to do things her own way, to be recognised for her true worth (she was often considered a ‘mere’ singer). So she decided to break free and create her first solo album, Renaissance. Dance, pop, electro, alternative, indie… no style escaped her eager ears. The result was a debut album packed to the rafters with supercharged rhythms and critically acclaimed reviews.

Now MYCELiUM is ringing in our ears. It’s a second album every bit as successful as the first, and Aluna is here to present it to us at Ground Control.
