It all started with Jasper Verhulst’s passion for Turkish psychedelic rock in the 1960s. We first became aware of him through his work with Jacco Gardner, where he immersed himself in this particular movement, one that combined Western rock and traditional Turkish music. The group takes shape and finds its soul in the voice of Merve Dasdemir, closely followed by Erdinç Ecevit Yildiz, who comes to enhance the whole with the sound of his saz, a long-handed lute whose sounds immediately take us towards the East.
