Danny Daze was born and is based in Miami. Like this cosmopolitan city, he multiplies and combines influences: Miami Bass of course, but also Detroit Techno, Italo Disco … A jack-of-all-trades that Danny applies as much under the hat of DJ as producer.

After Peacock Society and ARTE Concert Festival, it is at Nuits Sonores that we find this little genius. You only have to listen to some of Danny Daze’s creations to be bluffed by his eclecticism. Take for example Dual, a well-named EP released in 2015 on the Ultramajic label: the two tracks that compose it are at the antipodes of each other. A nice big gap that demonstrates the artist’s no-holds-barred – some would say downright punk – approach. The time when the young Danny Gomez played the wedding DJ is long gone! Revealed by his hit “Your Everything”, the DJ and producer has since been releasing EPs on a myriad of labels. Besides these solo experiments, the young American also participates in the Jupiter Jazz project alongside Maceo Plex. It is thanks to the latter that we owe Danny Daze’s presence at Nuits Sonores: the Floridian is coming to Lyon as part of a carte blanche “A Day with Maceo Plex”.
