The Pittsburgh-born director brings to the Teatro Real his version of Henry Purcell’s score with texts from the novel “La niña blanca y los pájaros sin pies” by Nicaraguan writer Rosario Aguilar.
 
The production, with colorful sets by Gronk and directed by Teodor Currentzis with his ensemble MusicAeterna, gives voice to the women, indigenous and colonial, who participated in the conquest of the Americas.
