A brilliant dialogue between two generations at Jazz sous les Pommiers: legendary American saxophonist Donny McCaslin joins forces with Ishkero, a young band from France.
Based in Paris, Ishkero is a quintet made up of Victor Gasq on guitar, Arnaud Forestier on keyboards, Antoine Vidal on bass, Tao Ehrlich on drums, and Adrien Duterte on flute and percussion. With ten hands at work, the band explores fascinating progressive soundscapes, skillfully blending rock, jazz, and dancefloor influences. These sonic experiments have earned Ishkero several awards, including the _ReZZo Jazz à Vienne 2022_ and _Talents Jazz ADAMI 2025_.
This latest accolade is what led to the concert you’re about to experience: deeply involved with the ADAMI talent program, Donny McCaslin went from jury member to mentor. He took Ishkero on an exciting summer journey, performing together at Jazz à Vienne, Jazz à la Villette, and of course… Jazz sous les Pommiers. It was in Coutances that Donny McCaslin and Ishkero unveiled their collaborative creation for the very first time.
