Blurring the lines, now that’s an art form the Swedes of Royal Republic have truly mastered. Just look at the oxymoron that is their band name: led by Adam Grahn, this crew has chosen _not_ to choose, and above all, not to be boxed into any one genre.
Sometimes punk, sometimes glam, often pop, and even downright sugary at times, their sound is always delivered with 1000% confidence. Royal Republic belong to that rare category of artists whose every stylistic detour is forgiven, because that’s exactly what defines them. Bursting onto the scene in 2010 with _We Are The Royal_, the Malmö-based band built their reputation through a string of increasingly wild albums and even wilder live shows. A reputation that landed them opening slots for The Offspring, and even a cameo in the delightfully ridiculous _Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga_ starring Will Ferrell, where Adam Grahn makes an appearance.
Back in 2024 with _LoveCop_, their fifth album, a record that somehow manages to unite punks and disco-pop lovers (not that they were at war), Royal Republic dons new outfits of leather and mustaches to bring it to life on stage.
