Monsieur Jourdain, a bourgeois, dreams of infiltrating the great world. To do so, he takes several initiatives: he refuses the marriage of his daughter Lucile to Cléonte, who has the disadvantage of not being a gentleman, takes lessons in music, dance, swordsmanship and philosophy, and orders expensive clothes from his tailor. Cléonte, on his side, prepares a machiavellian plan. He will make himself pass for the son of the Great Turk.
