Piano Day invites artists and the public to a musical stroll under the golds of the Opéra Comique. With @yaronhermanofficial & Benjamin Epps, La Chica , Tigran Hamasyan and Shani Diluka.

Created in 2015 by German artist Nils Frahm, Piano Day takes place on the 88th day of the year, echoing the number of keys on the keyboard. For the fourth time, ARTE Concert and Sourdoreille are joining forces with the event by concocting a programme celebrating the piano in all its forms.

After the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Théâtre de l’Épée de Bois and the Sorbonne’s Faculty of Science and Engineering, the 2023 edition will take over the various spaces of the Opéra Comique in Paris for an exciting musical journey placed under the sign of eclecticism. On the programme: the Franco-Venezuelan singer and keyboardist La Chica deploys her electro-infused spells; the Armenian jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan, who navigates between American standards and compositions bathed in traditional sounds, invites us into his inner world; The French-Israeli Yaron Herman, another world reference in jazz, and the Gabonese rapper Benjamin Epps merge their abundant universes; and the poet-pianist Shani Diluka unveils an original programme interweaving works by Bach and minimalist scores.
