The two rising stars of jazz, the saxophonist Emile Parisien and the accordionist Vincent Peirani, respectively revelation and artist of the year at the Victoires du jazz 2014, merge in a novel duo around their album titled Belle époque. Emile Parisien took lessons with the talented Wynton Marsalis and then made himself known at the head of his quartet. Vincent Peirani, elected musician of the year 2013 by Jazz magazine, is the accordionist that everyone can’t get enough of and marvels beside the singer Youn Sun Nah, Michel Portal, Sanseverino or even Stromae. They share the same taste for experimentation and improvisation. Not surprising that they would meet and decide to pay a vibrant homage to jazz and particularly to the legendary Sidney Bechet and Duke Ellington, by creating their own compositions. Between tradition and modernity, the two virtuosic accomplices take us into a musical voyage full of poetry and freshness. What a joy!
