In 2008, Marc Ducret begins a crazy project, as only formal freedom of jazz can afford: transpose musically Vladimir Nabokov’s multifocal writing implemented in Ada. Thus, the quintet, sextet, and quartet Real Thing # 1, # 2 and # 3 stay three independent groups, each telling a story on stage, sometimes the same, sometimes they respond, sometimes they are very different. Like the way Ada sometimes says “I”, where sometimes it is “he” whereas Ada comes in the margins, central character without being the heroin. Tower Bridge is the meeting of three groups, and produces music on, which frees managers to play the dynamic spaces, reliefs and emotions.
