Having escaped from the clutches of a giant snake, Prince Tamino is given an enchanted flute by three ladies in the pay of the Queen of the Night. With his companion, the birdwatcher Papageno, he sets out to find the princess Pamina, prisoner of the High Priest Sarastro and his mysterious rites of passage. But appearances are deceiving and our adventurers of fortune will have to learn to distinguish between good and evil, shadow and light, sun and night.

Heir to the Enlightenment, Mozart dreamed of composing a work that would please both scholars and valets: like this flute capable of charming the animals of the forest. From the electrifying overture to the curtain call, his music pursues its goal: to make the Earth like Heaven and humans equal to the gods. A goal that it finally achieves: during the final chorus, the composer succeeds in creating a musical utopia. The Magic Flute then crosses the night and, 230 years later, continues to enlighten our world.
