For the first time since 1686, Versailles recreates a Royal Carousel. Horses, baroque costumes and opera music made this show the most popular of all court entertainment and the only one intended for a large public. The splendor of the Great Royal Carousel shines again!
On the occasion of the quadricentenary of the birth of André Le Nôtre, it is pertinent to revisit an extinct genre of performance, but which may have been the main in France during several centuries and before the invention of the Opera: the Carousel.
