For the 30th Banlieues Bleues festival, Sylvain Rifflet and Jon Irabagon created a celebration of Moondog’s music. Here they are again, with a new fixed idea: to explore a theme rather than a composer, even if it means being surprised. Their inspiration comes from history and current events, from Olympe de Gouges to Emma Gonzales, from civil rights to climate justice.
