Having been immersed in music her whole life, Réunion-born artist Sueilo continues to make waves! When she was younger, she met the man who would become her producer and guitarist—the excellent Djouns—at music school. Inspired by groove—particularly soul and jazz—Sueilo composes and sings in French and Creole to convey a deeper dimension, rooted in her cultural origins. This choice has led her toward a more Afro-urban style in which she explores the nuances of love in all its forms, embodying independence and feminine power. Earlier this year, she released the single “Coco,” a catchy, hit-worthy track that’s starting to get clubs in Réunion and the neighboring islands moving.
