With these musicians, that book of life opens onto a dreamlike country where the floating atmosphere of Norwegian Nu jazz transcends the ‘riddims’ of Jamaica, where melancholic reveries are anchored in an earthy dimension carried by the dry drumming. Truly fascinating.
