This Power-Trio is yet another musical discovery from Israel: together the three young musicians and longstanding companions produce an electrifying sound. Raw jazz is played with a rock attitude, whereby tender melodies accompany rhythmical complexities. The numbers, partly inspired by literary works and partly cover versions, are composed by pianist Gadi Stern. Together with Matan Assayag on drums and David Michaeli on bass, with their latest album, «Rules of Oppression» (2017), Shalosh captivate the jazz world and the one or other rocker’s heart.
