In Greece, on the island of Milos, a small stretch of beach carved out of volcanic rock and sculpted by the winds is called Sarakiniko. It’s this light, moonlit patch of land that inspires our eponymous artist: Sarakiniko! Mixing languorous guitars and relentless melodies, Yann Canevet (real name), joined on stage by two other musicians, offers a pop sound with an air of British new wave straight out of the 1980s. Sarakiniko recently released their debut album ‘Red Forest’ (2022).
