After several records of Cuban jazz with his regular quintet, the pianist approaches new horizons. To his piano style, marked by a very percussive play, wild latin-jazz improvisations and a deep rooting in his family’s yoruba religion, are added electro influences, the sounds of the Hammond organ and the contribution of West African artists. In solo, the Cuban does not explore world music: he makes his own world of his inner music. An intense and surprising moment.
