Popa Chubby, born Theodore Horowitz in the Bronx, New York, has become a fixture on the international rock’n’roll scene. After more than 25 years on the road and albums such as Booty and The Beast or The Good, The Bad and The Chubby that have become classics, Popa will shake the Simone-Signoret Theater to the sound of a blues tinged with rock’n’roll. Considered by insiders as one of the virtuosos of American blues-rock, he grew up to the sound of Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin. On stage, his character is quickly imposed: shaved head, tattoos and especially devastating guitar solos.
