Patrice celebrates the release of his Super Album on the Ground Control stage. An opportunity to discover his greatest hits superbly re-orchestrated.

Patrice has been nourished by reggae, soul and hip-hop – mixed influences that he brilliantly distills into his music. Since his revelation in 1999 as the opening act for Laureen Hill, the German singer of Sierra Leonean origin has resolutely refused to accept limits, preferring to bubble over with ideas and collide with styles.

Patrice and ARTE, it’s an old story! Our cameras have often had the pleasure of recording his performances full of warmth and good vibes: in One Shot Not in 2008, at Berlin Live and at the Eurockéennes de Belfort in 2015, at SXSW in 2017… Each time, the artist and his legendary smile have literally picked us up. To say that we were looking forward to meet again is an understatement!

It’s done on the set of Ground Control, where Patrice interprets in a new way the hits that have marked his career and regale us with a cover of the Beach Boys. A good way to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Super Album, a best of opus released this fall.
