By composing the fresco Escalator Over the Hill in the hinge of the 1970s, Carla Bley drew a grand panorama of the musics of the planet.
This project, ambitious reaching utopia, is used as the starting point of Over the Hills, a gathering of French musicians stemming from generations and from contrasted horizons, all influenced by the innovative thought of Lady Bley.
From the explosive will of the latter, they hold the need to free themselves from the classicism by fetching the beauty beyond the usual codes of aestheticism.
