In 2018, the concert of Orange Goblin had literally turned the Hellfest upside down. The stage beasts are back in Clisson armed with their relentless stoner metal.
Breast fed by Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath or Judas Priest, Orange Goblin delivers since the middle of the 90s a subtle mix of stoner, doom and heavy metal. This mixture, which is more like a Molotov cocktail than a margarita, first stirred up the London underground pubs before shaking the stages all over the world.
Rarely for a metal band, the geometry of the band has evolved little since its beginnings. To this day, Orange Goblin combines the fury and technicality of Ben Ward (guitar and vocals), Joe Hoare (guitar), Martyn Millard (bass) and Chris Turner (drums). Four people, it seems little to make so much noise. And yet the band manages to do it royally.
As for their discography, Orange Goblin has released nine studio albums: from Frequencies from Planet Ten released in 1997 to The Wolf Bites Back released in 2020. Productions that take all their magnitude in live, as shown by the performance of Orange Goblin at Hellfest 2022!
