The new trio of Zurich-based German-Australian pianist Max Petersen plays music with unexpected twists and turns, busy rhythms and impressionistic Melodies sounds. The pianist’s compositions give the trio room to play and interpret freely. They range from jazz, swing and Afro-American music to twentieth-century classical music and the melancholy of German Romanticism.
